Iconic Country Star Arrested in Tennessee, Booked in Jail

Country star Darius Rucker was arrested in Tennessee for a minor drug offense. The 57-year-old singer faced charges related to simple possession of a controlled substance and a vehicle registration violation.

Rucker was taken into custody in Williamson County and released on bond. His attorney, Mark Puryear, stated, "Darius Rucker is fully cooperating with authorities related to misdemeanor charges."

Despite his legal troubles, Rucker has had a successful career. He recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and released his eighth solo album, a tribute to his late mother.

Rucker believes he hasn't reached his career peak. "I always feel like I haven't done enough," he admitted.

His children are interested in music, despite Rucker's jokes about wanting them to choose different careers. He shares two children with his ex-wife and has another from a previous relationship.

Rucker views himself as a typical dad, saying, "They truly don’t give a s--- what I do for a living. I’m nothing special. I’m their dad."

He opened up about his separation from his wife of 20 years, Beth Leonard. Despite the pain, they remain a family, with Rucker praising Beth's character and approach to their split.
