"I Was Just Talking With The President": New Tiger Woods Crash Video

Newly released bodycam footage shows Tiger Woods walking away from his March 27 vehicle crash. The video captures the legendary golfer claiming he was on the phone with the president.

The footage shared by TMZ showed Woods walking freely without handcuffs before performing field sobriety tests. He was seen on a path walking away from the police vehicle. An officer off-camera is heard asking him not to venture too far.

"Yeah, I was just talking with the president," Woods stated in the video. Woods then walked back toward police while wrapping up his phone call. He was heard saying, "Thank you so much. All right, you got it, bye."

The person on the other end of the call has not been officially identified by authorities. However, President Donald Trump previously issued a statement regarding the DUI arrest. "I feel so bad. He’s got some difficulty — there was an accident, and that’s all I know," Trump said at the time.

The President also referred to Woods as a very close friend and an amazing man. He acknowledged that the golfer was facing some difficulty following the crash. Woods and Trump share a long-standing friendship and frequently play golf together.

Woods is also currently in a relationship with Vanessa Trump. She is the former wife of the President's son, Donald Trump Jr.

Authorities say Woods rolled his Land Rover before taking a series of field sobriety tests. Additional bodycam footage showed police searching the famous golfer at the scene. Officers reportedly removed what appeared to be two hydrocodone pills from his possession during the search.

Woods was subsequently handcuffed and arrested on the scene. He has since publicly declared his intentions to seek professional help. The golfer announced he has stepped away from the sport indefinitely to focus on his recovery.
