A hot mic caught Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer giving his thoughts on various races heading into the midterms.
Schumer is very concerned about the Senate race in Georgia between Republican nominee Herschel Walker and Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock. Walker has recently closed the gap between the two and some polls now have him ahead.
“The state where we’re going downhill is Georgia,” Schumer said to President Biden. “It’s hard to believe that they will go for Herschel Walker.”
The Senate Majority Leader also said that the rocky debate performance by Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman “didn’t hurt us too much.”
“Looks like the debate didn’t hurt us too much in Pennsylvania,” Schumer said. After hearing the remarks Biden could be seen with crossed fingers.
