President Donald Trump issued a direct call to action for the people of Iran on Tuesday, urging "patriots" to seize control of the country’s institutions. The President also announced he has canceled all diplomatic meetings with the Iranian regime until the violent crackdown on demonstrators ends.
Taking to Truth Social, Trump vowed that those responsible for the deaths of anti-regime protesters would "pay a big price." His comments come as the Iranian government continues to use deadly force and a total internet blackout to suppress a nationwide uprising.
"Iranian Patriots, KEEP PROTESTING - TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!" Trump wrote. "Save the names of the killers and abusers. They will pay a big price. HELP IS ON ITS WAY."
A Rising Death Toll and Military Options
The situation on the ground in Tehran has become increasingly bloody. While official reports list at least 646 deaths, Reuters has reported that an Iranian official privately estimates the toll has reached 2,000. Thousands more are expected to be confirmed as communication lines are restored.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed on Monday that the President is weighing all options, including potential military strikes. While Leavitt noted that diplomacy remains the first choice, she emphasized that Trump is "unafraid to use military options" to stop the "senseless killing" in the streets.
The current unrest is the most significant challenge to the Islamic Republic since the 2022 protests. The DHS and DOJ are reportedly monitoring the situation for potential spillover effects or threats to the American homeland.
Global Leaders Predict the Regime’s Fall
International pressure is mounting alongside the domestic uprising. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, speaking from India on Tuesday, predicted that the world is witnessing the "final days and weeks" of the Ayatollah’s regime.
"When a regime can only maintain power through violence, then it is effectively at its end," Merz told reporters.
The President’s "Locked and Loaded" posture follows the successful destruction of Iranian nuclear sites in June 2025. Many activists believe the Iranian people have been emboldened by the administration's willingness to use force against the regime's high-value assets.
As ICE and CBP maintain high security at U.S. borders to prevent any regime-backed infiltration, the White House remains focused on the "America First" objective of stabilizing the Middle East by supporting the Iranian people’s quest for freedom.
