Fall fanatics, here’s your chance to turn that obsession into a side hustle.
FinanceBuzz, a personal finance platform, is on the hunt for a "pumpkin spice pundit" to taste-test fall products from Trader Joe’s.
They want someone to evaluate the retailer’s "fall-inspired Pumpkin Palooza foods."
The job involves rating over 20 pumpkin-flavored food and drink items, like pumpkin waffles and pumpkin-spice ginger brew.
FinanceBuzz plans to use these ratings to guide shoppers on what to budget for and what to skip.
The chosen pumpkin spice pundit will be paid $1,000 and get a $500 Trader Joe’s gift card to cover the costs.
"Groceries are a significant part of everyone’s budget," FinanceBuzz mentioned on its website.
"It’s frustrating when you try something new, and it ends up being disappointing."
Though not affiliated with Trader Joe’s, FinanceBuzz is a big fan of their seasonal items, according to spokesperson Chris Lewis.
"Every year, dozens of new products hit the shelves, but not everyone has the budget to try them all," Lewis noted.
He emphasized the passion some people have for pumpkin season and said they’re looking for a superfan to critique this year’s lineup.
"If you care about pumpkin season, have a great sense of taste, and want to have some fun, we want to hear from you," Lewis added.
Applicants must be over 18 and live near a Trader Joe’s in the U.S.
The pundit will photograph and rate each fall item on criteria like preparation difficulty and taste.
