Fox News host Tomi Lahren tore into the Republican Party on Monday, arguing that the GOP has failed working Americans so badly that some are beginning to see socialism as a possible answer. Lahren said the problem is not wealthy young liberals chasing an activist trend, but middle-class families struggling to pay for basics.
“Let’s be frank about it, some Americans are turning to socialism because Republicans have failed us so dismally that even the most destructive economic model imaginable feels palatable to people who are struggling to make ends meet and buy groceries,” Lahren wrote on X.

She said she was not referring to “Gen Z brats” who have money or indulge in luxuries. Instead, Lahren said she was talking about working families who keep expenses low and simply want enough left over at the end of the month.
Lahren followed that message with a broader attack on Republican lawmakers who support continued U.S. military operations against Iran. She argued that the people pushing a prolonged war are disconnected from the consequences facing ordinary Americans at the gas pump and grocery store.
“I’ll add, these politicians touting the Iran war and egging it on to never-ending status are most likely all invested in the military industrial complex and don’t give a rat’s ass how much you’re paying at the pump or the grocery store because they’re getting filthy rich,” she wrote.
“The uni-party is an abomination and outside of @timburchett and maybe a couple others, the GOP is an utter embarrassment,” Lahren added, naming Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., as one of the few exceptions.

Her criticism comes as gasoline prices remain elevated. AAA listed the national average for regular gasoline at $4.0116 per gallon on Aug. 11, up from $3.1387 a year earlier and $3.8824 a month earlier.
President Trump is also facing pressure to bring the Iran conflict to an end as economic concerns take center stage in a difficult midterm election year. Trump said Sunday his administration was “low keying it” with Iran and was “only semi-negotiating” while it monitored Tehran’s economic strain.
Lahren’s comments reflect an increasingly open frustration among some conservatives who believe Republican leaders have focused too heavily on foreign policy and party politics while families face rising costs at home. Her central point was blunt: if the GOP does not reconnect with working Americans, it risks handing socialism an opening it should never have had.
