Former Elon Musk Friend Warns Ex-DOGE Leader Will Do 'Everything' to Damage Trump

Philip Low, a former friend of Elon Musk, says the Tesla billionaire is out to hurt President Donald Trump — no matter what it takes.

“Knowing Elon the way I know him, I do think he’s going to do everything to damage the president,” Low told Politico.

Musk recently blasted the GOP’s signature legislation — Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” — calling it a “disgusting abomination” in a June 3 post on X.

He doubled down over the weekend, warning the bill could wipe out millions of jobs and deal “immense strategic harm” to the U.S.

Low, a neuroscientist and founder of NeuroVigil, says Musk is still fuming. “He has been humiliated,” Low said, claiming Musk is done playing nice with Trump.

Despite an earlier online feud between the two, both sides now say things have cooled — at least publicly. Trump even called Musk a “wonderful guy” on Sunday.

Behind the scenes, though, Musk may be quietly preparing to chip away at Trump’s support. “He doesn’t realize the battle he has on his hands,” Low warned.

The Senate advanced Trump’s massive 940-page bill on Saturday in a 51-49 party-line vote — minus two GOP holdouts. Democrats stalled it by forcing a full reading.

With the national debt already at $36.2 trillion, the Congressional Budget Office says the bill would add trillions more.
