Chris Cuomo, former CNN anchor, revealed he voted for his brother, Andrew Cuomo, in the presidential race—even though Andrew wasn’t running.
Now with NewsNation, Cuomo shared this on the PBD Podcast with Patrick Bet-David, who assumed he might have voted for Kamala Harris, according to the New York Post.
"I probably shouldn’t tell you, but I voted for my brother. I wrote him in," Cuomo admitted. "He didn’t win, by the way."
During the interview, Bet-David asked in shock, "Are you joking?"
Cuomo replied, "No. I’ll show you the picture," and showed Bet-David a photo on his phone.
The podcast host gasped, "Get outta here!" but wasn’t allowed to share the image onscreen.
"I think it might’ve been illegal that I took a picture, so let’s just pretend it didn’t happen," Cuomo added.
Cuomo, though a Democrat like his brother, said, "America can do better than these two candidates."
He continued, "The choices are beneath the standard of American leadership. We have way better people."
Cuomo mentioned he told his brother about the vote, but Andrew had "other things he wanted to talk about."
Andrew Cuomo resigned as New York Governor in 2021 after multiple harassment allegations and controversy over his COVID-19 response.
Chris Cuomo also faced controversy, being fired from CNN for allegedly assisting his brother’s defense.
