Florida Man Sues Outback Steakhouse Over Shattered Toilet Seat

A Florida man has filed a lawsuit against Outback Steakhouse after a handicapped toilet seat reportedly "shattered and collapsed" beneath him. The incident occurred at an Outback location in Ocala, resulting in what the plaintiff describes as severe and permanent injuries.

Michael Green, the plaintiff, claims he suffered a "significant and permanent loss of an important bodily function" due to the fall. The lawsuit further alleges that the accident has led to a "loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life."

The complaint accuses the restaurant of negligence for failing to ensure the toilet was properly secured to the floor. Green’s legal team argues that the establishment allowed an "unreasonably dangerous condition" to exist for members of the public.

Green is seeking $50,000 in damages from the popular steakhouse chain. The lawsuit comes as Outback attempts a "comprehensive turnaround strategy" following the abrupt closure of 21 underperforming locations last month.
