Tech magnate Elon Musk made a trip to the southern border in Eagle Pass, Texas, this past Thursday, intending to broadcast a live tour of the region to provide viewers with a firsthand perspective on the current migrant situation.
Owner of entities like Tesla, SpaceX, and X, Musk has demonstrated a pronounced concern regarding the challenges at the border, frequently sharing his thoughts on his social media platform X, previously recognized as Twitter.
Earlier, on Tuesday, he conveyed that he had a conversation with U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-Texas, about the situation. Gonzales affirmed it as a "serious issue."

Sporting a black cowboy hat, Musk began a live broadcast on his platform on Thursday, expressing his intention to converse with authorities and "eyeball the situation to get the real story."
"This is real time, unfiltered," he said. "What you see is what I see."
Musk went on to highlight his own immigrant status, noting he is "extremely pro immigrant." He stressed the importance of broadened immigration policies that enable diligent and trustworthy individuals to enter the U.S. legally, while emphasizing the need to prevent entry for those intent on unlawful activities.
Musk expressed concern that the influx of unauthorized immigrants might strain and possibly collapse social services, citing the example of New York City grappling with the impact of migrants transported there from Texas.
Accompanying Musk was Gonzalez, who expressed gratitude towards the tech entrepreneur for endeavoring to get a firsthand, unfiltered view of the border conditions.
There was a brief interruption in the broadcast, but when it resumed, Gonzalez delved deeper into the border's state.
The comment section of Musk's live stream was abuzz with reactions. One viewer remarked, "Good to see Elon having to do the job of the MSM and of the politicians who are literally paid to do this but refuse."
