Many Democrats are pushing forward with the insane idea to "defund the police." It is mystifying how this is seen as a good idea by anyone.
Donald Trump Jr. had a great response to those who are looking to defund the police. As a first step in the process, they could ditch their own personal security detail.
Trump Jr. tweeted his suggestion:
“We all want to stop police brutality, but cutting funding to police departments like so many Dems want to do doesn’t stop abuses, it just makes communities (particularly impoverished communities) less safe."

Many have come forward to express just how stupid this idea is, including Trey Gowdy and Senator Tim Scott. Gowdy called it the "dumbest idea I've heard" while Scott called it "ridiculous.
These protests against police in the last couple of weeks have shown exactly how much we need the police. Police reform and addressing the issues caused by police brutality are something definitely needed, but defunding them is not something I can get on board with. Most of us with a brain will completely agree.
