JD Vance of Ohio and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. Vance is Trump's running mate, and Walz is Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate.
One of the projections by the DNC showed a critical comment from Vance. It highlighted an old quote from Vance's social media in 2016. "Vance on Trump: ‘What an idiot’" was flashed on the building. This quote refers to Vance's past criticisms of Trump.
Vance once opposed Trump but has since become a strong supporter. After winning a Senate seat in 2022 with Trump's backing, Vance became a close ally. He's now a leading supporter of Trump's America First agenda.
Another image projected by the DNC said, "Trump is a chicken." This refers to Trump refusing to debate Harris again. The DNC has been attacking Trump on this through various billboards recently.
Trump has defended his decision, saying it’s too late for another debate. He points out that early and absentee voting has already begun in many states.
The DNC also projected "Project 2025 HQ" on the tower. Project 2025 is a political plan by the Heritage Foundation. While linked to some Trump administration veterans, Trump and his campaign have distanced themselves from it.
One final image was a cheer for Gov. Tim Walz. It read, "Go Coach Walz!" This references his past career as a high school teacher and coach.
