Actor and comedian Will Ferrell is backing Kamala Harris. It's another celebrity endorsement for the vice president.
In a Harris campaign ad, Ferrell humorously threatens voters. "This election is going to be one of the closest in history. Your vote will make the difference," he starts.
He mocks a voter who doubts their vote matters. "That means you, Gary. 'Oh, blah blah blah, I'm just one person.' No. Shut the f--- up, Gary."
Ferrell adds, "Last time, only a few thousand votes kept Trump out of office. And this time, we will hold you personally responsible, Gary."
Critics voiced their opinions on X. They told Ferrell to stick to comedy. "Democrats have now resorted to physically threatening people to vote for Kamala. Will Ferrell should’ve stuck to comedy. This isn’t funny at all," one user commented.
Another said, "Will Ferrell is making it REAL tough for me to watch Elf this season."
Ferrell isn't alone in his endorsement. Other celebrities have also rallied for Harris. On Thursday, actors like Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson joined in a video endorsement posted on Mark Ruffalo’s X account.
They joked about Harris needing a catchphrase. Bettany suggested, "How about ‘I’m down with democracy’? It’s clean and simple." Cheadle added, "I’m Kamala Harris and I say down with democracy," with a laugh.
Beyoncé also introduced Harris at a rally in Houston, Texas.
Recent polling indicates a tight race ahead. The final New York Times/Siena College Battleground poll shows Trump leading in Arizona, while Harris holds an advantage in Georgia, North Carolina, Nevada, and Wisconsin. Michigan and Pennsylvania are too close to call.
With the election just days away, the stakes have never been higher. Polls indicate a fiercely competitive race.
