Chick-fil-A has finally put its own spin on chicken and waffles—and the result may be one of the chain’s most interesting seasonal sandwiches yet.
The limited-time Chicken & Waffles Sandwiches arrived at participating restaurants nationwide on Aug. 24. They come in two sizes: a breakfast sandwich available during standard morning hours and a larger entrée version available from 10:30 a.m. until close.

Both versions begin with the familiar elements of the classic dish: a Chick-fil-A chicken filet placed between two soft, maple-flavored waffles. The sandwich also includes three strips of applewood-smoked bacon, honey butter spread and a side of classic syrup for dipping or pouring.
Customers can choose an Original, Spicy or Grilled filet. The Spicy option is an especially natural match for the maple waffles and honey butter, balancing the sandwich’s sweetness with a kick of heat.
The breakfast version uses a smaller filet and waffles, while the lunch-and-dinner entrée uses a larger chicken filet and larger waffles. In practical terms, the entrée is the heartier choice—and the one for anyone who wants chicken and waffles without setting an alarm for breakfast.

The waffles are designed to be soft and lightly sweet rather than crunchy, which makes them function more like a bun than a traditional diner-style waffle. The syrup adds another layer of sweetness, though the sandwich already has maple flavor and honey butter built in.
Chick-fil-A’s new fall lineup also includes two S’mores-inspired drinks: the S’mores Milkshake and S’mores Frosted Coffee. Both pair the flavors of toasted marshmallow, chocolate shortbread and graham cracker with the chain’s Icedream dessert base; the Frosted Coffee also includes cold-brewed coffee.
The entire menu is available for a limited time, while supplies last, with availability expected into November at participating locations.
