On Monday evening Brett Favre decided it was time to walk back the comments he made during an interview with TMZ Sports comparing Colin Kaepernick and Pat Tillman.
Faver said his comments were not made to compare the two, “but a recognition that they both sidelined their football dreams in pursuit of a cause.”
Including Pat Tillman’s name in the interview on Colin Kaepernick was not a comparison of the two, but a recognition that they both sidelined their football dreams in pursuit of a cause. Pat tragically lost his life, making the ultimate sacrifice, and deserves the highest honor.

He did make it clear that Tillman, killed in 2004 by friendly fire in Afghanistan, made the “ultimate sacrifice, and deserve the honest honor.”
“I can only think of right off the top of my head, Pat Tillman is another guy that did something similar,” Favre told TMZ Sports on Saturday. “And, we regard him as a hero. So, I’d assume that hero status will be stamped with Kaepernick as well.”
Brett Favre says Colin Kaepernick's willingness to leave his NFL career to fight for social justice reminds him of Pat Tillman's ultimate sacrifice ... and now, he's telling TMZ Sports he thinks both will be remembered as heroes.https://t.co/zvL7yB7Kb4

The NFL has done a headfirst dive back into the woke arena. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has encouraged teams to sign Kaepernick. Brett Favre said he thinks Kaepernick can still play at a high level.
A lot of the wokesters tend to forget that Kaepernick was 3-16 in his last 19 starts and lost his starting job to first-round bust Blaine Gabbert.
Leftists like to pretend that Kaepernick sacrificed a flourishing career for a greater cause. Not the case. After success under previous 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh, his time as a starter in the NFL appeared to be coming to a close.
If someone can play in the NFL, they get the chance. Look at all of the other kneelers, who are still in the league.
