Sometimes Joe Biden says things, and it's like a flashback to Funniest Home Videos' segment of "Kids Say the Darnedest Things."
On Monday night, the Democratic presidential nominee said scolded President Donald Trump for contracting COVID-19, claiming that it was “embarrassing for the nation."
Um, what?
“Anybody who contracts the virus by essentially saying, ‘masks don’t matter, social distancing doesn’t matter,’ I think is responsible for what happens to them,” Biden continued.
That's funny because even the mask wearers, social distancers, and basement dwellers are still catching coronavirus. So if you think about it, does it really matter? I have not worn a mask since all this started and I've yet to catch it. However, I know religious mask-wearers who have caught it.
It really does not matter.
“I view wearing this mask, not so much protecting me, but as a patriotic responsibility," Biden continued, “I will be very honest with you. It was embarrassing for the nation.”
“For the last three months, three times a week, I’m on the telephone and on Zoom with some of the leading immunologists in the nation, and they go through everything that’s happening. And so the idea that Covid does not spread in proximity when you don’t have a mask on, when you’re not socially dancing, when there’s large groups of people, when you’re inside in particular and even when you’re outside, that’s not surprising,” the former vice president added.
