Oh dear. Auntie Maxine is at it again with the racist rhetoric. When will the antics end?
House Financial Services Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters tweeted on July 4th (how ironic) and suggested that the Declaration of Independence is a racist document because it was written while slavery existed in the United States.
She tweeted on Sunday, “July 4th… & so, the Declaration of Independence says all men are created equal. Equal to what? What men? Only white men? Isn’t it something that they wrote this in 1776 when African Americans were enslaved? They weren’t thinking about us then, but we’re thinking about us now!”

Rep. Cori Bush also chimed in on Twitter on Independence Day and claimed that the holiday is “only for white people.”

One thing all three of those representatives have in common? You guessed it. They are all Democrats. The exact people who supported slavery and fought to keep it. Perhaps they should reevaluate their own party before trashing America as a whole.
Every color of soldier bled so that we could be free. We celebrate our freedom because of every single soldier who fought and died for us to do so. Their petty little comments are just straight distasteful and absurd.
