Sergeant Major of the Army Michael Grinston, the Army's top senior enlisted leader, encouraged soldiers to apply for inflation as a measure to battle inflation during the Biden administration.
“With inflation affecting everything from gas prices to groceries to rent, some Soldiers and their families are finding it harder to get by on the budgets they’ve set and used before. Soldiers of all ranks can seek guidance, assistance, and advice through the Army’s Financial Readiness Program,” Grinston said in a message to soldiers that's been posted on the Army website since last month.
He advises the soldiers on where they can get government assistance, saying, “SNAP is a U.S. government program that provides benefits to eligible low-income individuals and families via an electronic benefits transfer card that can be used like a debit card to purchase eligible food in authorized retail food stores. Service members and their families may be eligible.”
Inflation is happening in the United States at a rate not seen since the 1980s. Food costs have increased 13.5% despite the passing of the so-called "Inflation Reduction Act."
Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL), an Army veteran and double amputee, tweeted his displeasure on Thursday: “This is absolutely pathetic. This Administration is running our military and our country into the ground.”

Arizona Senate candidate Blake Masters (R-AZ) pointed out that while our soldiers are struggling, illegal immigrants are being transported all around the country.
The U.S. Army is advising soldiers to go on food stamps to make ends meet.
Meanwhile, I personally witnessed dozens of illegal aliens walk into our country today, to board buses and airplanes that then ferry them into the interior — at enormous taxpayer expense.
