AG Pam Bondi Sends a Warning Message to Tesla Vandals Across the United States

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi is cracking down on recent Tesla vandalism. She ordered an investigation into who's funding the attacks.

"They are targeting Tesla dealerships, the stations where you charge a Tesla. They're vandalizing cars," Bondi said on "Mornings with Maria" Friday.

"We have people we're locking up on that," she added.

Tesla cars, dealerships, and charging stations nationwide have become targets. Protesters and vandals are angry over Elon Musk’s role in Trump's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

On Saturday, protesters held signs criticizing Musk and DOGE outside Tesla dealerships, including one in Decatur, Georgia, according to the AP.

Earlier in the week, protesters targeted a Tesla dealership near Portland, Oregon. Gunshots damaged cars and shattered windows, the AP reported.

In Massachusetts, vandals set several Tesla charging stations on fire. Non-violent protests occurred at dealerships in Michigan and New York City.

Musk blamed left-wing billionaire George Soros and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman for funding the "protests."

"We have someone in jail right now from one of the dealerships. They threw a Molotov cocktail through a dealership. They're looking at up to 20 years in prison," Bondi revealed.

She warned, "So if you're going to touch a Tesla, go to a dealership, do anything – you better watch out, because we're coming after you. And if you're funding this, we're coming after you. We're going to find out who you are."

Tesla faced other problems this week. Shares dropped about 32% over the past month but saw a slight rise after Trump announced he'd buy a Tesla.

Anti-Musk bumper stickers have also appeared, reading, "I bought this before we knew Elon was crazy," along with cancel symbols around Musk’s name.
