Trump Makes Incredible Entrance at UFC 302 to Massive Ovation, Just Miles From Where He Was Found Guilty of 34 Felony Counts

Donald Trump made his first public appearance since becoming a convicted felon at a UFC event.

Trump was found guilty on all 34 felony counts in his New York criminal “hush money” trial. On Saturday night, he was escorted to his seat by UFC CEO Dana White. The crowd cheered him on at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

Two days prior, a jury found Trump guilty of falsifying business records. The $130,000 “hush money” payment to Stormy Daniels was ahead of the 2016 election. Each count has a maximum sentence of four years.

New York has a 20-year maximum consecutive sentence for Class E felonies. Legal experts say Trump is likely to get probation or a shorter sentence. Sentencing is scheduled for July 11.

After the verdict, Trump called the trial outcome a “disgrace.” He vowed to keep fighting his conviction. Catering to his voting base is part of his strategy.

Trump and White’s friendship spans over 20 years. Trump’s Taj Mahal in Atlantic City supported UFC when it struggled for acceptance. White has remained loyal, speaking for Trump at the 2016 Republican National Convention.

Trump has attended several UFC events during and after his presidency.
