Super Bowl MVP's Wife Fires Off Cryptic Tweets During Trump Social Media Controversy

Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes, posted a cryptic message after facing backlash for liking an Instagram post from former President Trump.

She was criticized for her social media activity. The post she liked was related to the "2024 GOP platform" from August 13. Amid the backlash, she addressed the "haters" and later shared a cryptic message on her Instagram Stories.

The message was originally posted by preacher Shanae Pruitt.

"Contrary to the tone of the world today…"

"You can disagree with someone, and still love them. You have differing views, and still be kind."

Brittany Mahomes has never publicly shared her political views. The Daily Mail reported that back in September 2017, Mahomes wrote that Trump had "offended waaaay too many people." It's unclear what specific incident she was referring to, but it was during Trump's criticism of NFL players kneeling during the national anthem.

Patrick Mahomes has also remained neutral in politics. According to Open Secrets, he donated $500 to the NFL Players Association’s political action committee, which contributed $45,000 to Democrats and $35,000 to Republicans. In an interview with Time magazine, he said he wouldn’t endorse any candidate.

"I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president," he told the magazine. "I want people to use their voice, whoever they believe in. I want them to do the research."
