Federal product-safety regulators are warning parents and caregivers to immediately stop using several popular children’s squeeze toys containing expandable water beads.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced recalls for approximately 15,200 toys sold as GIHNJSI Squeezy Dumplings and OKK Trading Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun Toys. Both products contain water beads that can expand beyond the permitted size and create serious hazards if swallowed.

“When a water bead is ingested, it can pose ingestion, choking, and intestinal obstruction hazards inside a child’s body,” the CPSC said. The agency warned that the resulting complications can include severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration and a risk of death.
The recalls involve toys that look like translucent, round dumplings or buns, with cartoon faces on the outside and glitter-like particles and water beads inside. They are sold in tan plastic containers designed to resemble bamboo steamers.
The GIHNJSI Squeezy Dumplings recall covers about 8,000 units sold on Amazon from May through June 2026 for about $20. The toys are marked “SQUEEZY DUMPLINGS” and “SQUEEZE ME.”
The OKK Trading recall covers about 7,200 Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun Toys, model D08004. Those toys are translucent pink and labeled “Rainbow MYSTERY” and “SUGAR EDITION.” They were sold through third-party stores nationwide from May through August 2026.
No injuries have been reported in connection with either recalled product, according to the CPSC.
