After facing heavy scrutiny due to the killing of George Floyd, Minneapolis City Council pledged to "dismantle" the Minneapolis Police Department.
Council President Lisa Bender vowed to drastically change how public safety is conducted in the city of Minneapolis. She took to Twitter to announce her intentions.

The tweet above is in response to a tweet from Jeremiah Ellison, who recently voiced his support for Antifa. Jeremiah is the son of Keith Ellison, who is the Minnesota Attorney General.
After what happened with the four police officers during the killing of George Floyd, it's important changes are made to the Minneapolis Police Department. Is tearing down the entire department the answer? Time will tell. Hopefully steps are taken that help to avoid another tragedy like the one that just happened.
