McDonald's Set to Sell Famous Donuts Nationwide In The Coming Years

McDonald's has exciting news. By the end of 2026, they'll start selling Krispy Kreme Doughnuts nationwide. This announcement came from both companies on Tuesday.

Customers can look forward to three delicious flavors. Original glazed, chocolate iced with sprinkles, and chocolate iced "kreme" filled doughnuts will be available. They'll be delivered fresh daily to McDonald's outlets. You can buy them individually or in six-packs, available from breakfast until they're gone.

Krispy Kreme's CEO, Josh Charlesworth, is thrilled. "Significantly, by making Kreme Krispy accessible to fans nationwide through this partnership, we expect to more than double our points of access by the end of 2026," he said. It's a big step for their Delivered Fresh Daily channel.

McDonald’s is looking to learn from this expansion. "The expanded test will help us learn more about operational impact on a larger scale as well as explore customer demand," they stated.

To make this work, Krispy Kreme has upgraded its operations. They've improved their supply chain and introduced new technology and equipment.

Meanwhile, Wendy's is creating its buzz. They've teamed up with Cinnabon to add a new breakfast item.

The Cinnabon Pull-Apart is their latest offering. It's a unique twist on the classic cinnamon roll, designed for easy sharing.

Wendy’s CEO Kirk Tanner sees breakfast as a key growth area. On a recent earnings call, he highlighted the potential for sales growth and better margins from breakfast offerings.
