A "noose" was discovered in a Harlem park over the past weekend. Governor Cuomo was quick to shame America for its "racist past."
More information has come out, leaving Governor Cuomo with egg on his face.
On Saturday someone took a photo in Marcus Garvey Park of something that was quickly determined to be a "noose" hanging from a free. Without getting all of the information, Governor Cuomo quickly fired up his racism claims.
“I am disgusted by the recent discovery of a noose — the epitome of hatred and an evil icon of our nation’s racist past — in Harlem’s Marcus Garvey Park,” Cuomo said in a statement Tuesday. “New York is no place for hate, and the progress we’ve made as a society will not be undone by the work of a few cowards.”
Within hours the racism claims were debunked. The New York Police Department Hate Crimes Task Force said this was not an act of hate and that this was not even a noose. After investigating the incident thoroughly the officers concluded that “according to the park director, it was left over from a construction scaffold that was removed in the fall. The rope was used to hoist construction materials.”

So it turns out white people aren't using a noose to hang people in a public park in Harlem. Who would have guessed that?
Probably anyone with a brain.
While there are certainly racism issues in the United States, it's nowhere near the level the left would like you to believe.
